Sitelok is a membership software that allows you to have permission control over the content you want each specific users to see. Sitelok is a self-hosted Software by Vibralogix, which is included in the price of Mentor.
In order to use this project file you will also need the Sitelok Stacks by Weavers Space. Those stacks are not included with Mentor Project file
Why does Mentor use Sitelok?
The ability to give every student a different experience is necessary for the nature of this project file. You need students to only be able to access courses they purchased and manage their own private information, without having access to other students private data.
Mento also uses Sitelok in the admin area to create different access levels to Admins, Editors and Authors. So you can have a wider team of people with different permission levels to edit your website.
Mentor has been designed with a specific student journey in mind, of course you can edit it if you want to know how we recommend to use Mentor Project file for Stacks Pro and Rapidweaver.
Recommended use of Mentor
Every online course business follows a slightly different student journey, what follows gives you an idea of the workflow we had in mind when we designed Mentor.
Unregistered students can navigate and view the full public area of the website with the exception of a section of the blog posts content. Each blog post has a section of content only available to registered users.
When students register to the newsletter they are in fact creating a free account, Sitelok will automatically assign the USERGROUP "CLIENT" to the this free account, so if in the future you want to send emails to all of your registered users you can do that!.
When Once students create a free account they will be able to:
- View the full length of your blog posts
- Comment blog posts
- Purchase Online Courses
- View purchased courses from a private account
- Manage account data and information
When registered students buy a course, Sitelok handles the payment via Stripe and updates the related student account with the USERGROUP of that specific course, so the student will now automatically find the course he purchased in his private account area.
